Articles to uplift our families so we can walk straight. The articles are written by many of the broadcaster from Salem Communications radio shows.

"There are many homes which can never be wholesome until some radical changes take place in the home structure. It would be foolish to try to build a house in a swamp on straw bales. And it is just as foolish to think we can build godly homes on the values commonly accepted in Western culture. If in Christian homes we find straw bales in the foundation, we cannot correct the problem by hiring some interior decorator to counsel us on paint. The foundation needs help first."

By Dr. James Dobson / Tyndale House

Although the principles on which it is based are timeless, The New Dare to Discipline is revised and expanded to address parenting in today's modern context. Dobson offers to his readers his game plan and philosophy for parents to understand their children. Dobson believes the principles of love and control must be in balance to facilitate healthy development in children. Dobson's child rearing philosophy is rooted in the Judeo-Christian system of values. Also included in this book are a question and answer section and drug survey information.

Click on this link if you want to feel better about yourself. This little humourous link uses flattery to build up your self esteem. And it works. Who doesn't like to be told how wonderful they are, even if it is shallow and insincere. We all like to be appreciated and loved. We like to be told out loud, not just assumed.

And of course this applies even more with our own families. Our kids need to be told, out loud, that they are wonderful, worthy, appreciated and loved people. Our spouse needs to hear how amazing, intelligent, good-looking and sweet they are, and why we still love them. Our parents need to hear that they did a great job of raising us and we appreciate all of the sacrifices they made for us. I think it's OK to exagerate a little, with out telling downright lies (they would see through that or suspect something).

Go, right now, and tell them how wonderful and amazing they are. Don't wait another minute, or something will distract you and the opportunity will fade away. Remember how it felt when you clicked on the link above. Do it to those you love most, make them feel great.

"This service exists for one reason, and one reason only. The founders are tired of reading stories about missing 9 and 10 year old children killed by registered sex offenders, and decided to do something about it. They invite you to use their free service to locate registered sex offenders in your area. You just enter an address or zip code, and they will show a map. You can click on the squares that appear, and see photos (where available), addresses, and convictions. Unfortunately, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont do not currently provide addresses for registered sex offenders. Consequently, we are unable to provide adequate or meaningful information about sex offenders located in these states."

"This morning I glanced at my schedule for the coming weekend. Four baseball games and two birthday parties dominate the landscape, along with a list of household chores and errands longer than any one man should have to face. And these are supposed to be my days off!"
"The Bible says that children are a reward from the Lord (Psalm 127). I have certainly found that to be true. But I've also found that the fuller my quiver gets, the harder it is to find the time to give each child the attention they need and deserve."
"Can you relate? If so, here are ten things I do to develop my relationships with my kids, in spite of a hectic schedule."
An article on by Dave Klassen with Glen Hoos.

Ways to encourage our children to study wildlife, in your own backyard. It helps them see God's love for us in nature.

It's strange that many American children know the animals of Africa, but not the birds of their own land. Introduce your kids to the American robin, and they'll have a friend to enjoy forever.

A nice story about what kids learn from nature. Because our culture has changed, kids don't get out much, so it's up the parents to take them where they can experience nature.

Devotions and articles for Christian couples, with Dennis and Barbara Rainey.

This is not a happy article, but it takes on the subject with courage. When God gave marrieds the gift of sex, he was not handing them a toy. He was entrusting them with nitroglycerin that even within marriage must be handled with holy fear.

The following relationship advice will help you minimize marriage problems and avoid being a divorce statistic.

Stripping away the plastic love of romantic fiction and fairy tales to find the genuine article. The more we fantasize about an unreal person, the harder it will be for us to relate to our real flesh and blood spouse.

"When God created man and woman, He created them to complement each other. God formed woman to round out man's incompleteness, so that physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and even spiritually, male and female would not be rivals, but mates."

By Dr. Emerson Eggerichs / Integrity Publishers

Discover the secret that cracks the communication code between husbands and wives-and reap the benefits of marriage as God intended. Citing extensive biblical and psychological research, Eggerichs shows that harmony and happiness in relationships is not achieved by love alone, but by building on both parts of the Ephesians 5:33 equation-love and respect.

"There is nothing ordinary about non-marital sex; it has no normal qualities. When you are sleeping with a guy you just picked up at a bar, you are not bringing your whole self to him; you inevitably dissemble, hiding the fact that you had a lousy week at work, hiding the fact that your sister screamed at you and you are fragile."An amazing, straightforward discussion with Lauren Winner about sex and singles. You have got to read this.

Many articles dealing with the issues that singles face. Includes: Loneliness, Pressures, Sexuality, Dating and much more.

“Marry in haste; repent in leisure,” is a saying laced with alarming possibilities. Even more terrifying is the possibility of too hastily presuming that our views on divorce and remarriage are of God. One person's viewpoint.

Up to date and positive, these articles will uplift any single.

What does it take to experience real intimacy with someone? What is love? What is intimacy?
